Ever wonder why God gave us a memory?

Imagine life without regret or guilt, pain or grief, all of our past transgressions permanently erased.  And every thoughtless word and deed someone had imposed on us gone in the next instant.
But in a life without memories, we would be destined to repeat our mistakes rather than learn from them, and pivotal moments in our lives would have no meaning.  How could we admire the people our babies grew up to be, if we had no recollection of picking them up when they fell down?
Cherish all your memories whether small occasions or momentous events.  Remember your anger, your pain, your grief and your happiness for they are all God's unspoken lessons.
