From my perspective: The purpose of life is not a mystery; it is evident in the miracle of every plant and animal and person: to live; to create, and to continue to live by procreating. Beliefs, no matter how strongly held, don't change the fact that life, for each of us, begins at conception and ends at death. If there is an existence after death, it bears no resemblance and is no reward for this life, any more so than an existence before conception.
You call every plant, animal and person a miracle. Webster's Definition of a miracle: a surprising and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore considered to be the work of a divine agency. Devine Love is your reward in this life and the next, but you can't feel it until you cross the bridge of acceptance.
